Privacy Policy

Your sit diary stays on your phone. The live board is the only cloud surface, and it never sees the log.

Who we are

Poopodoro is the developer of the Poopodoro iOS app (“we”). This policy describes what the app does with information in version 1. Questions: privacy@poopodoro.com.

No Poopodoro account

There is no sign-up page and no Poopodoro login. Identity for the live leaderboard is a silent anonymous id created on the device. Reinstalling the app may mint a new identity.

What stays on your device

Sit history, personal best, and streak stay on this device. We do not upload the session log, start/end timestamps as a diary, or those personal stats as a backup. Deleting the app deletes that diary.

What the live board sends

If you appear on the live leaderboard, the app sends:

• a public nickname from the in-app catalog (a generated pun, or parts you compose in onboarding or Settings)
• three ranking stats: today’s fastest valid sit, this month’s Golden-day count, and this month’s average valid-sit time
• App Store country/region from your Apple ID storefront when StoreKit provides one — sent automatically, not a setting you toggle; not shown on board rows today; not GPS, not device location, not IP geolocation used as a location feature

Today and this month on the board use a shared Pacific calendar (America/Los_Angeles). Your personal streak uses your device’s local calendar — those clocks are not the same. The app stores average valid-sit time for ranking even though the Leaderboard tab only shows Today and Golden.

The board does not receive the session log or start/end timestamps as a diary. If you report a nickname in the app, we store that report (reporter and target).

Nicknames

Nicknames are public on the board. You can report a nickname in the app. We may remove names that break our Terms, including catalog rules and how often you may change your name.

Processors

Network traffic in version 1 is for the live board and Apple purchases only — no analytics SDK. Apple processes in-app purchases through StoreKit. RevenueCat sees Apple-account receipts so we can unlock Unlimited; it does not see the sit diary. Supabase holds anonymous board identity and live-board data (nicknames, ranking stats, storefront country when sent).

Purchases

Unlimited is an in-app purchase through Apple: weekly or yearly auto-renewable or Forever (one-time). No intro trial. Apple processes payment. Restore Purchases lives in Settings → Purchases. RevenueCat sees Apple-account receipts so we can unlock Unlimited. It does not see the sit diary.

Notifications

Optional local notifications: if a sit keeps running in the background past the long-sit nudge, Pip can notify on this device. There is no remote push. The diary still does not leave the phone.

Lock Screen

While a sit is running, a Live Activity can show Pip and the elapsed time on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. That display stays on this device. There are no push updates. Ending or canceling the sit removes it.

What we do not collect

Version 1 does not include an analytics SDK, does not use Core Location for storefront country, and does not require a Poopodoro email or password.

Children

Poopodoro is a general-audience iPhone game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The live board is public nicknames and ranking stats only.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Keep using the app only if you are comfortable with the then-current policy.
